Kindergarten Word Wall

As the year in Kindergarten progresses, you will find an up to date list of the sight words (words that are most commonly used in the English language) that your child has been working on in class. The words will be introduced and practiced through the Pre-decodable readers that will come home with your child weekly as part of our reading curriculum. These words will be put on our class Word Wall so that they are visible to the children while the children are working on phonetics, writing in journals, or doing other literary activities in the classroom. We will review the words frequently and it is our goal that children know most if not all of these by the time they enter into first grade. Please feel free to check this list often and keep an up dated copy of the words for your child to use at home.
