Holston View Elementary School, a five-pod complex located on a 34-acre site on King College Road, opened in 1972. It encompasses 55,904 square feet. The school is composed of grades Kindergarten through Sixth. The present student enrollment is 299. Our full time staff is comprised of one Principal, fourteen classroom teachers, three Comprehensive Development Class teachers, one resource teacher, one Project Forward teacher, one physical education teacher, one librarian, one secretary, and two full time educational assistants. Our part time staff consists of one art teacher, one choral music teacher, one instrumental music teacher, one speech teacher, one nurse, one guidance counselor, eight educational assistants, and six special-education assistants.

In the Holston View School community, the staff and parents cooperate to create a positive and secure learning environment with high expectations for students' academic and social growth. At Holston View we are very fortunate to have active and involved parents and community. Our strong PTA organizes parent volunteers and provides many other services and support for our school. Friends in the local business community also lend their support frequently and have recently played a large role in establishing a new computer lab for our students. We believe that the involvement of parents and community members in Holston View Elementary School is an important element in providing an excellent education to our students. We welcome volunteers to assist in our school. Friends in the business community who want to be involved are invited to participate in the Partners in Education program.
