The army JROTC program was recently added to the curriculum here at Tennessee High School in Fall of 2005. The commander Lt. Col. Craig Terry has high hopes for the program and his expectations have certainly been met by the cadets.

One of the main goals of JROTC is to teach the cadets the leadership skills they will need in school and later on with their careers and the rest of their lives as well. The program will help instill the army's seven values (Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage) into their core so that they may help guide the cadets to live honorable lives.

The students learn about essential leadership and attitude skills but they also have Physical Training twice a week to make the students physically fit as well as mentally.
