Web Design
This class teaches
professional web design using HTML, Microsoft Publisher, and advances
to Macromedia Studio (Dreamweaver & Fireworks) Students will
create a personal web site. All sites will be published to the
Internet. They use their own ideas and creativity.
Advanced Web Design
This class is a continuation of Web Design with an emphasis on
networking. Students will maintain the Tennessee High School website.
Principles
of Business:
Students learn the basics of banking, insurance, marketing, types
of businesses, management skills, how to get and keep credit,
job interviews, and much more. A local credit union is visited,
mock interviews are conducted, and students study cultural aspects
of business.
American Business Legal
Systems:
Students who are information
technology concentrators may count this class as their government
credit (must have taken 3 information technology classes.) Students
will study the American Government system, court cases, trials,
contracts, insurance, consumer rights, and what's legal or not
in business dealings.
Accounting
Students will learn proper record keeping procedures for businesses.
Document Design/Keyboarding:
Students will learn proper techniques involved
in the "touch" method of typing. They will learn how
to format documents such as letter and reports. Students will
apply desktop publishing skills in creating advertisements, brochures,
newsletters, flyers, cards, and more.
