Anatomy & Physiology

The student will study structure and function of the human body, related diseases and disorders, and medical terminology. Activities include computer technology, AP Challenges, ADAM and Body Insight, Laboratory Assignments, CPR/First Aid

Health Science
Different choices of a career that you can choose from in the health care field, medical terminology, person of qualities and characteristics needed to be a health care professional. Guest speakers, health care skills, CPR/First Aid are also included

Medical Theraputics
The class introduces the field of nursing, direct patient cares skills, assessments, communication skills, and medical terminology. Basic nursing skills include measurement of vital signs, bedmaking, body mechanics, personal care, recording in patient's medical record, medical terminology, and CPR/First Aid.

Rehabilitative Therapy
A combination of sports medical and physical therapy including athletic training, injuries, study of musculoskeletal symptoms, principles of body movement, and range of motion exercises to assist patients in rehab. Some examples include bandanging, taping, physical conditioning, and CPR/First Aid.
