Rene Tobias Hartung

Rene was a memeber of the THS Band during his exchange years at THS (1992-1993),
and played in the Mighty Viking Drumline. Along with every band member, Rene
has some memories of the band he will never forget. "I belive the best memory
I have is of the senior's meeting at Mr Romines house about two weeks after
school had started again from the summer break. I was only a few days a member
of the band and was still invited to that meeting. It helped a lot to get
to know people at the school," said Rene. He always remembers the awesome
trip the band took to Florida, something which is not possible for her now.
Rene is now attending navigational college in Rostock on the Baltic Sea in
former East-Germany. Unfortunaly, Rene tried to visit THS about 3 years ago,
but the school was in the middle of 6 weeks tests, and he hardly was able
to speak to anyone. He would really like to get in touch with those other
band members from '92-93, so if that applies to you, mail him!!!

Since I sent my last mail quite a bit has changed.
I am
not on any college any more, but I am working on a
German
Research-icebreaker which operates in the
Artic/Antartic. I work there
as a
second mate. The Vessel and some info about it can be

this year, since it is now ten years ago that we
