Meet Ms. Higgins
Greetings,
My name is Shelah Higgins, and I am one of the two media specialists at Tennessee High School. Ms. Beth is my co-worker, and Ms. Ayers is our secretary.
I am excited about this school year and getting to know and work with the students of Tennessee High School. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a few things about myself both personally and professionally.
I have been in the teaching profession for thirty-one years with eight
of those years at Tennessee High School. I received both my B.S.
in English and my M.A. in Education/Library Science from East Tennessee
State University.
I have experience both at the elementary and high school level as
well as public and corporate librarianship. I am married and reside
in Kingsport, TN. My husband and I have three
children
and
three
grandchildren.
Be sure to check out the new Library/Research Lab that is housed in the THS Library. The lab has 30 new state-of-the-art computers. It also has new tables, new headsets, and a new printer. The lab is open to all students both before and after school as well as Wednesday and Thursday Evenings.
