Navigation

You can access pages within this WebQuest using the navigation bar on the left.  These navigation links also appear at the bottom of each page (footer). The current page is denoted by a dark-brown background in the navigation bar, and in black text in the footer.

Process Pages

Each page includes a description of what you are required to do, suggested resources, a link to a printable process rubric, and a link to a team rubric.  Use the process rubrics as a guide to help you meet the requirements of each process.  Use the team rubric to describe your personal contributions to each process.  Please note that team members must sign off on other members' contributions, thereby encouraging each of you to share the work equally.

Puzzle Page

This page presents you with a chocolate trivia puzzle.  Complete the puzzle after you finish each of the four processes.

Conclusion Page

On this page you can (1) give your teacher some feedback after completing the WebQuest, and (2) access a list of books, websites, articles, games, activities, and other chocolate-related resources.

Teachers Page

This page displays suggestions for adapting this WebQuest to suit individual classroom environments, and displays a list of excellent chocolate-related websites.  Curriculum standards are also listed on this page.

Before Starting...

Before diving into the Chocolate WebQuest, each of you should do the following:

  1. Prepare your Chocolate WebQuest notebook by making five dividers - one for each of the four processes and one labeled "Miscellaneous."
  2. Read the four process pages and corresponding rubrics to get the "big picture."  This save time and work in the long run.
  3. Print one copy of each process rubric, six copies of the team participation rubric, and one copy of the trivia questions page.  Add these pages to your notebook.
