Prerequisite: Algebra I Part A

Introduction of algebraic concepts and their applications using real-world problem solving. Students learn to use tables, graphs, verbal rules, and symbolic rules to describe linear and quadratic functions. They choose a best model for data from among these functions. Rate of change is change is studied in the context of direct variation, linear equations, and arithmetic and geometric sequences. Students will learn how to write equivalent forms of polynomial, radical, and

rational expressions.
