Prerequisite: Physical Science.

Life Science may also be required upon recommendation of Physical Science teacher. Usually taken in the sophomore year, biology is the study of elementary biochemistry, the cell, metabolism, basic genetics, evolutionary theory, and ecology. This course concludes with a state-mandated Gateway exam.
