The “ONE BRISTOL Career Exploration Event,” held on October 23 at Viking Hall, was an exciting opportunity for current seventh grade students from Bristol Virginia Middle School and Vance Middle School on the Tennessee side (about 500 students) to learn about a wide variety of careers available to them locally.

With more than 20 businesses, industries, service careers, and other participants, students were able to engage in interactive exhibits and conversations about potential local career opportunities.

“We were thrilled to host this event in Viking Hall and excited about the opportunities provided to our students!” said Deidre Pendley, director of Career and Technical Education for Bristol Tennessee City Schools. “I’d like to especially thank our local businesses and industries for partnering with us on this event and in so many other ways to help develop the future workforce of Bristol.”
