Remote Food Services Distribution


  • The USDA has extended the program providing free meals for children due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • The extension allows Bristol Tennessee City Schools to serve free meals through June 30, 2021, to in-person and remote students, regardless of income!
  • Free breakfast and lunch will be served to all in-person students at school. Students will only be charged for a la carte purchases.
  • Free meals will be provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m. to any child 18 or younger at the Vance Middle School site. The child is not required to be a BTCS student. See information below:

Tuesdays and Thursdays; 4:00-6:00 p.m. 

Additional Information:

  • Weekend meals will be provided on Thursdays! A free supper will be given to each student as well! In-person learners who receive breakfast and lunch at school, may come to the Vance site on Tuesdays and Thursdays to pick up supper meals.
  • This will be a drive-thru concept.
  • Meals will be cold items that can be heated when convenient or ready to eat.
  • There will be no home delivery of meals.
  • Due to the timing of notification from the USDA, BTCS was not able to make the changes to the system in time for meals served on Tuesday, September 1. Any charges for meals in September are in the process of being credited to each student's account.
