2020 Census Information

2020 Census Logo Red

If you have not already, very soon you will receive a letter in the mail from the U.S. Census Bureau asking you to provide information about your household for the 2020 Census. Responding to the Census is important to funding for Bristol Tennessee City Schools.

Every person counted brings more of our federal tax dollars back to Bristol to pay for education and many other services including roads, healthcare, fire and police services, and much more.

Information you provide to the census is completely confidential and cannot be shared with any other government agency or anyone. Please take a few moments to respond to the census online at, by phone 1-800-354-7271, or through the mail. Be sure to count everyone living with you as of April 1, 2020, even if they are not related to you. If you respond on your own, a census taker will not come to your door.

We only have one chance every ten years to ensure Bristol gets the resources we need for our children. We are counting on you to be counted!
