ESSER 3.0 Survey

ESSER 3.0 Survey Graphic

Bristol Tennessee City Schools is seeking input from stakeholders on a spending plan for approximately $8.3 million in federal funding designed to address student recovery needs related to COVID-19.

The federal funding is part of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER), which is providing funding to the state of Tennessee and school districts to address student needs, including learning loss related to COVID-19. Of the $8.3 million received in ESSER 3.0, at least $1.66 million, or 20 percent, must address the academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs of all students—especially those students most impacted by the pandemic.

The district must submit a detailed district plan to the Tennessee Department of Education explaining how it will use ESSER 3.0 funds. Therefore, the district is seeking feedback from parents, students, staff, and community members to assist in developing its plan and the use of these funds. Stakeholders wishing to participate in this process should complete the district’s survey by 5 p.m. on June 24, 2021. To take the survey, please visit ESSER Survey.
