Career Opportunities

Automotive students have many options for the future. Some students utilize our dual enrollment program and go on to TCAT for further training. Some continue their automotive education at Northeast State and obtain an associate degree. Others move right into an entry-level dealer tech position. Many dealers choose to continue with in-house training and send techs to specific manufacturing training. A technician has many opportunities for growth and advancement within the industry. Many move from tech to shop foreman, dispatch, service advisor, and even into dealer management. The industry is experiencing large tech shortages making entry and advancement opportunities abundant. Depending on geographic locations, experienced techs can make into the six figures easily. Another advantage to this industry is that jobs are everywhere. A tech can move anywhere and find well-paying positions.
