Program Summary

Culinary Arts provides students with exposure to the Hospitality and Tourism industry with a focus on food service. In this course program, students will be exposed to all aspects of an actual working restaurant. Students will learn the basics for the different types of cooking techniques, inventory control, ordering product, and customer service. This is done with a variety of opportunities including our school store, classroom work, and competitions with other schools. This program is designed to allow students to enter the workforce at a mid-level position or to continue their education at a culinary school. We have a working relationship with Johnson and Wales University and are pursuing one with the Culinary Institute of America, along with several other local and regional schools. Upon completion of the class students will be prepared to enter the workforce and advance in the industry.
