Enrolled cadets are required to wear the Army-provided uniform one day a week. Male cadets must maintain their hair in accordance with the minimum mandated requirements. Junior ROTC extracurricular activities are conducted after school and include such competitive teams as Drill, Color Guard, Rifle Marksmanship, Robotics, and Orienteering.

Career Opportunities
College is not required to enter the Armed Forces as enlisted; however, to be an officer a four-year degree is required. With assistance from an organization working independently of JROTC, the College Options Foundation can help cadets locate colleges offering credits for completing JROTC. Additionally, Army ROTC (not JROTC) offers college scholarships to cadets who qualify for their scholarship program. E-3s out of basic training can earn $2,259 a month plus benefits. Officers with a four-year degree can earn $ 3,637 a month after commissioning.
Ready Graduate
Cadets who earn an AFQT score of 31+ on the ASVAB and complete two EPSOs will receive Ready Graduate Distinction.
I chose JROTC because I personally wanted to try something new. I've participated in P.E for my entire life, and when I heard about JROTC I knew it was time to explore new things. My favorite thing about JROTC is how it has something for everyone. If you like physical fitness, you have the ability work out, and if you want to learn first aid, we have lessons on that. It just feels like several different classes in one. JROTC has given me leadership abilities and confidence to accomplish whatever I want to do in the future. I have personally planned to join the military, but with the skills I’ve obtained I fully believe I can go into any field with a good standing. To any students contemplating JROTC, I say to go for it. Work hard, prepare like you should, and pay attention and you’ll have fun.
