Fairmount is piloting a service club called EarlyAct in conjunction with the Bristol Rotary club. This awesome group of 4th and 5th graders is sponsoring a holiday snack drive for their first project. The idea is that we will collect items that are easy for kids to prepare themselves during the holiday break. The collected items will be assembled into a care package and sent home with students for the break. For those of you who have been around a while, this will be similar to the backpack food program we used to have. Please encourage your students to bring in your grade level assigned items (see below). We will be sending a note in the Wednesday folder, and we would love for you to include this information in any upcoming newsletters you may send home.
PreK and Kindergarten- Individual bags of snacks (chips, pretzels, Cheez-It's) and Drink Flavor Packets
First Grade- Individual Cereal Cups, Individual Oatmeal Cups, PopTarts
Second Grade- Individual Ramen Noodle Cups or Individual Mac and Cheese Cups
Third Grade and ELC- Granola Bars, Cereal Bars, Protein Bars
Fourth Grade- Pudding Cups, Apple Sauce Cups, Jello Cups, Fruit Cups, Raisins and Dried Fruit
Fifth Grade- Can Soups, Ravioli, and SpaghettiOs with Pop Top Lids
EarlyAct Club members will be outside of the library each morning to accept and organize donations. We will accept donations now through December 15.
