Our BTCS Community Resource Center works closely with school staff and other community organizations to assess and meet the needs of students and families. Our district recognizes that the COVID-19 pandemic has placed even additional hardships on families.

Mental Health Support

During this difficult time, if you feel that you or a loved one needs mental health or other essential support, please reach out for help. As always, if there is a true emergency, please call 911 or visit your nearest emergency room.

Emergency Cash Assistance

The Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) is making essential financial resources available to families that have been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 emergency. Families can apply online for up to two months of emergency cash assistance if they were employed as of March 11, 2020, and they have lost employment or at least 50% of their earned income as a result of the pandemic. Bristol Public Library

Bristol Public Library encourages patrons to utilize the library’s digital resources.  They offer the Bristol Herald Courier online and access to thousands of e-books free through Tennessee R.E.A.D.S. Please visit their website to learn more.

 

Bristol YMCA Critical Use Childcare

The Bristol YMCA is offering childcare for parents who are essential supply workers, first responders, medical personnel, or families who need childcare to be able to work and support their families. Please contact them at (423) 968-3133 for more information.
