Welcome to the Bristol Tennessee City Schools’ Family Resource Center!

Bristol Tennessee City Schools’ students and their families are eligible to receive Family Resource Center services. With a focus on meeting basic needs of BTCS students/families, 2022-2023 FRC goals also center around reading on grade level by third grade, good school attendance, engaging community in support of afterschool enrichment activities for LEAP participants, and bridging the service gap for students/families receiving mental health services.

 

 In collaboration with other BTCS departments and community partners, the following programs fall under the FRC umbrella of services:  BTCS Reading Buddies, family engagement activities associated with Reading Buddies, system-wide coordination of Thanksgiving services, Santa Pal, Inc., Johnia Berry Memorial Toy Drive, BTCS/BPL Summer Book Bus, Rack Room Shoes That Fit program, Second Harvest Food Bank’s family food box distribution, BTCS Family Resource Center Advisory Council, Purposity, Sight for Students vision program, and a detailed Family Resource Center packet of non-profit and community organizations willing to offer support to Bristol’s families of need.
