Dates

Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) has been the state’s testing program since 1988, and it includes TNReady assessments in grades 3-8 for math, English language arts, social studies, and science. The assessment will be administered paper/pencil for grades 3-8 in all subject areas. All tests will be timed and each subtest is expected to take approximately 30-85 minutes. The assessments are designed to assess true student understanding and not just basic memorization and test-taking skills. TCAP measures understanding of our state standards. Individual student reports which detail student performance will be provided to parents/guardians as soon as they are released to the district by the Tennessee Department of Education. Practice assessments or benchmarks will be administered periodically in preparation for TNReady in ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
