Every Student Succeeds Act

President Obama signed the Every Student Succeeds Act into law on December 10, 2015. ESSA includes provisions that will help to ensure success for students and schools. This bipartisan measure reauthorizes the 50-year-old Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), the nation's national educational education law and longstanding commitment to equal opportunity for all students.

Title Schools

The Federal Programs Office supports programs that improve the academic achievement of disadvantaged students (Title I); prepare, train and recruit high quality teachers and principals (Title II); provide language instruction for limited English proficient students (Title III).

Title IX Compliance

The following information is provided in response to 34 C.F.R. Part 106.8 of the 2020 Title IX Regulations, mandating notice of a nondiscrimination policy and adoption and publication of grievance procedures that provide for the prompt and equitable resolution of student and employee complaints. In accordance with Title IX, the district does not, and is required not to, discriminate on the basis of sex in its educational programs or activities.
