BTCS Earns Campaign Chairman's Award

At the 2019 United Way of Bristol Annual Meeting in March, Bristol Tennessee City Schools won the Campaign Chairman’s Award, which is awarded to the employees of the organization who achieved the most notable increase in giving! This award goes to all of our employees and all of those who led our campaigns!

As a district, BTCS employees gave $39,653.39. This was a 14% increase in giving from last year! BTCS also received the Bronze Award, which means we achieved 25-49% of our Fair Share potential. Fair Share is when an employee donates a minimum of one hours pay per month.

BTCS had seven locations which increased contributions by more than 30% from the previous year. Those locations were Haynesfield, Holston View, Vance, Tennessee Online Public School, Maintenance, Technology, and Connection/Offices on Edgemont. Our Technology Department led the way with an 82% increase in giving!

The Bristol community is already very familiar with the commitment to excellence our employees show every day to students and families. Our generosity through United Way and in countless other ways demonstrates how our commitment extends beyond the classroom and into our community!

Each location in our district runs a campaign to educate employees about United Way and provide opportunities to give. The Campaign Coordinators are as follows: District Coordinator: Rebecca Craddock; Building Coordinators: Anderson, Christine Booher; Avoca,
Crystal Peak and Rebecca Rhinehardt; Fairmount, Beth Link; Haynesfield, Brandy Shelton; Holston View, Ginny Swaggerty and Briona Littleton; Vance, Vickie Kennedy and David Boggs; Tennessee High, Sonya McMakin; TOPS, Dave Collins; Maintenance, Brandi Detrick; Technology, Gail Stacy; Administration, Jen Padilla; The Connection/Offices on Edgemont, Scott Latham.

United Way of Bristol's mission is to bring together resources to help people in our community live healthy, productive lives.
