Substitute Teacher Positions

All substitute teachers applicants must complete an online application and an online orientation to be considered for an interview. Substitute teachers are hired periodically throughout the school year based on current school system needs. If you are interested in becoming a substitute teacher, please follow these instructions:

  • To help you prepare for and understand the role of the substitute teacher, we are offering all candidates access to a free, 24-minute training video offered by STEDI. The SubEssentials substitute training is designed to encourage, motivate, and introduce you to the great world of substitute teaching. This video should be viewed prior to an interview request, as you may be asked about learning lessons during the selection process if selected for an interview.
